Our Equine-assisted Mentoring Sessions are 90 minutes, 1 day a week for a 6-week session block. Sessions are focused primarily on helping foster or adopted youth feel loved and valued while learning valuable life skills with their mentor.
Sessions start with a 10-15 minute chore to help them feel like a valued member of the ranch. After the chore, comes the semi-structured but child-led activity. This activity could be learning about horses both on the ground or on a horse, gardening, playing games, visiting the other farm friends, crafts, etc.
While our session program is not free to operate, due to the generous support of our wonderful donors we are able to offer it for free to our families so that anyone can experience God’s love through his creation regardless of financial status.
